Peace

It’s interesting to look at the world we live in today. It’s constantly busy and never seems to slow down. The season of Advent is the perfect time to slow down, reflect on what God has done the past year and to look to the future to see what it may hold. When I reflect on what God has done just in the past year, it’s mind blowing. But when I look to see what’s on the horizon it’s breathtaking.

When Jesus called the original disciples, they dropped everything they had ever known to follow this man who made them feel as if everything in their world came to a halt. Little did they know that they would end up following him with reckless abandon. Jesus has a way of making us live this way, being led by peace is not the easiest thing to do, but it is the most fulfilling. When you walk in peace, you are walking hand in hand with Jesus, and it’s quite the adventure.

When you allow Jesus to reign in your life with his everlasting peace the mountainous struggles in front of you, seem to turn into little bumps in the road. There is no feeling like knowing that our God has his hand of protection on us wherever we go and in every circumstance of our life. Just because we belong to Jesus doesn’t mean the trials we have in life are not real or that we are going to live a pain-free life. All it means is that Jesus is the rock we cling to in the time of trouble. When Jesus entered a situation in the Bible, you could always count on him to bring a peace that surpasses all understanding. And he will always bring peace to your life as well.

So I’d just like to remind you to slow down and enjoy the blessings of the life we live in Christ. With the world in such chaos today it’s our duty as Christians to bring peace to everyone and everything we do. Where there is darkness, let your light shine and allow the peace of God flow through you.
