What is the Victory Life Missions Program?
Our desire is to provide each member of Victory Life Church the ability to engage firsthand in the work of the Great Commission. We serve to see people transformed by Jesus both locally and globally.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
We believe mission begins at home and discipleship should first take place in our families. Our families make up our “Jerusalem.” We also desire to see each of our campuses commissioned into local outreach, serving their “Judea.” We believe “Samaria” represents our own nation. Finally, we desire this impact to carry through to the nations of the world. It is our hope for VL Missions to equip and commission disciples into every area of our world to see a transformation.
We do this by:
- Hosting multiple mission trips each year
- Equipping missionaries before each trip through team meetings
- Cultivating environments of worship and prayer within our teams
- Activating our teams into spirit-led ministry and practice of the gifts
- Commissioning missionaries to serve locally and globally upon return
2024 Mission Trips
What is this form for?
This form is for any organization that would like to request their trip to be recognized as a Victory Life Church sponsored mission trip. If approved, any VL Church staff members would qualify to receive paid time off as outlined in the VL Church Employee Handbook.
Upon submitting the application, it will be reviewed by Leadership to ensure the trip is in alignment with the overall church’s vision. This form will need to be submitted for each trip the organization wishes to be considered approved no later than December 31st, of the year prior to the trip dates
Each trip requires candidates to attend mandatory meetings, ministry training, and volunteer 20 hours of community service.
The heart of this program is to actively engage and prepare participants with skills and experiences that prepare them for the trip and grow their relationship with the Lord and the church. As we prepare to serve abroad we desire to cultivate that same heart of service here at home.
Victory Life Church’s Missions Program is not about offering merely an experience but training and equipping saints for the work of the ministry.
How do I go on a Victory Life Mission Trip?
Step 1: Review trip information and find the trip that works best for you. Pay attention to the physical and ministry rating on a scale from 1 to 10. Trips with a higher numerical rating will require more physical exertion and a greater draw on your ministry gifts.
Step 2: Submit your trip application. Application review takes 5-7 days. Following the review process, you will receive a follow-up phone call if additional information is needed, or an acceptance e-mail that will contain the details of your trip and any next actions on your part.
