A lot of times what happens is, as God begins to move and as fire in His house begins to stir, we are stewarding it really well…and it gets so comfortable. We are in God’s presence, growing in our prayer life, learning the Word, moving in the power of Holy Spirit with each other, and praying in church with words of prophecy going out…but what happens is we get comfortable and tempted to stay in the house. Our commission is to steward the fire in the house so that we can go out and catch people. We carry what God is doing in this house out to the rest of the world.
Jesus walked life with his group of disciples and taught them how to pray, how to walk by faith, how to believe for the miraculous–ALL of this was to teach them how to go out. A disciple is an obedient follower of Jesus, obedient to the commands of Christ.
