Authority is something we as a society do not really understand. There is abuse of authority and that has to be corrected by the ones in authority over them, and if someone tells to violate the Word of God, we are not to obey that authority. All authority is delegated by Jesus and it would be good for us to remember that every time we are tempted to abuse it. Submitting to authority is also not popular in our society. Submitting to authority does not make you weak, it actually proves the strength within you. We have more people grabbing for authority and trying to build their own kingdoms instead of submitting to the will of God or any authority He has placed over them. Jesus is ultimately in charge and will never abuse His authority in our lives.
