Grave clothes are sticky and smelly. They cling to the body as if they were a part of the body. When you think of them metaphorically, addiction and old habits can try to cling to us when we are born again and resurrected from a life of sin and death. Pastor Duane talks about how to walk out the new life we have been given by Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection. Maybe Easter was a day you decided to give your life to Jesus and Pastor Duane wants to help with your new journey out of the “grave”. The grave clothes need to be taken off and burned.
