Don’t you wish the Lord would just be more obvious so you would know He is around, through a burning bush maybe? Pastor Jacob has those thoughts sometimes, too! However, Pastor Jacob is teaching us about becoming aware of God’s presence. We tend to want God to satisfy our logic or emotions with His presence but He is always with us and it’s up to us to become aware of His presence. It is crucial to seek His presence continually, even in the mundane tasks in our lives. Doing dishes, doing office work, farm work are also times to be aware of His presence. Creating a gap between our spiritual life and the other parts of our lives is essentially robbing ourselves of the constant peace that God is offering us by His constant presence.
