About This Event
Program Description:
The Summer Camp Internship Program is designed for students ages 14-18 who are committed to deepening their relationship with Christ and growing as servant leaders. This transformative program focuses on spiritual growth, leadership development, and hands-on ministry experience.
Hosted at Camp Victory, this program serves as a mission field where interns will minister to hundreds of children and youth during Victory Life Summer Camps. Interns will engage in a variety of ministry opportunities, including altar ministry, leading prayer and small groups, and more.
This program is for students who have made a wholehearted commitment to discipleship and are ready to embrace both the challenges and rewards of ministry. While the journey may not be easy, it is deeply rewarding. By the end of the program, interns will have developed key skills such as praying for others, working effectively as part of a team, serving with the heart of Christ, and taking meaningful steps in their personal spiritual growth.
Transportation & Packing List:
Interns are responsible for their own transportation to and from the camp facilities. They should also bring any necessary medical or personal items, including toiletries. A detailed packing list and dress code guidelines will be provided to students upon acceptance into the program.
Essential items include:
• Bedding for a twin-sized bed or a sleeping bag
• Bible and notebook
• Sunscreen and bug repellent
• Work clothes and gloves
• Dress code-appropriate clothing and swimwear (strictly enforced)
Phones & Social Media:
During the program, interns will check in their phones with staff upon arrival at the camp. Phones will be returned on weekends when interns go home. While interns may have their phones on weekends, they are strongly encouraged to abstain from social media throughout the entire duration of the program to stay focused on their spiritual growth and ministry.
There are 2 different types of Summer Camp Interns: Junior Interns (JI) & Resident Interns (RI).
Junior Interns:
Junior Internship is for youth students 14 through 15 years of age. Junior Interns are required to attend our training week and serve both weeks of kids camp. They will also be able to join 1 week of Youth Camp as a camper with the $49 camp registration as their only cost to attend Youth Camp. Junior Interns’ main responsibilities will be during the Kids Camp weeks.
Resident Interns:
Resident Internship is for youth students 16 through 18 years of age. Resident Interns are required to attend training week, 2 weeks of kids camp, & 2 weeks of youth camp. Resident Interns will have varying responsibilities each week of camp.
