We exist to see people transformed by Jesus. That’s not a catchy slogan — it’s the reason we gather, the reason we give, and the reason you’re on this page.
The Accelerate initiative is an invitation — an invitation into a season of discipleship centered around one of the most formative practices in the way of Jesus: generosity. We don’t want to be observers of what God is doing. We want to be participants — His partners — and we want that for you, too.
This is an exciting and significant time in the history of Victory Life Church. 2027 marks the 40th year of our church, and we’re not slowing down. We have a deep sense from the Holy Spirit that an outpouring is on the horizon and our aim is to be found ready and expectant.
Our hope and our heart is to be fully ready to receive all that God has for His church. It is a season of bold leadership with increased speed and intensity as we respond obediently to that invitation.
Like the story in 2 Kings 4, our posture is one of preparation for that outpouring. We are actively readying as many containers as we can to receive what God has for us. One of those containers is our physical church building here in Durant, and it is currently not ready.
There is no discipleship to Jesus that excludes a life of prayer, surrender, and generosity. We’re asking you to pray and ask God how He is inviting you to partner with us in seeing this vision come to life.

Project Overview
Ministry needs have shifted drastically since the original construction of our Durant campus, and we desire to see our facilities come into alignment with current ministry needs and opportunities. We’re focusing on five key areas of improvement to ensure we are fully equipped to support the growth and care of our church family.
Lobby & Common Space
Our new lobby will connect our current kids check-in and coffee shop areas into one seamless space. This unified space will serve as a welcoming hub designed to facilitate community and hospitality with excellence.
Sanctuary
Our sanctuary will undergo a meaningful renovation, bringing upgrades to our audio, video, lighting, and seating. This updated space will serve as the heart of our weekly gatherings, purposefully designed for us to encounter God together.
Entrance & Patio
Our exterior remodel will create a clear and welcoming main entrance for all guests that God brings to our church, while introducing a new patio area for outdoor community space.
Kids & Youth
We’re committed to the next generation, with every ministry moving into thoughtfully remodeled spaces: new classrooms for ages 0–5, a refreshed area for elementary, and an updated space for youth. They’re worth our full investment.
Pastoral Offices & Prayer Room
Our pastoral team will move into new offices designed for their ministry, alongside a new prayer room with exterior access, creating welcoming, secure spaces for prayer, care, and spiritual guidance.

Accelerate is first and foremost about transformation and discipleship to Jesus. We want every single person at Victory Life Durant to take their next step in discipleship and live a life of increasing generosity. Our prayer is that God would open each of our hearts, inviting us to partner with what He wants to do in and through us in our community. We exist to see people transformed by Jesus!
Secondary goal
$15 Million over 2 years
We believe that God has called us to prepare our facilities to more effectively reach and disciple those in our community who need to experience the life and love of Jesus. The next phase of Project BIG construction is a larger, long-term vision that will extend beyond the 2-year ACCELERATE initiative. As we take the next step toward that vision, our goal is to raise $15 million to advance facility renovations and provide the annual ministry budget for the Durant campus in these 2 years.

The Accelerate initiative launches in the fall of 2026 and will conclude in December 2028. Giving to this vision will begin in December 2026. The goal is not to put generosity on a timeline, but rather to mark an intentional season of discipleship with prayer and response to lead to a lifestyle that reflects the way of Jesus more and more.
This is a one-fund initiative, meaning that all gifts to the Accelerate initiative will be undesignated and stewarded by our church leadership to fund ministry and expansion.

After you’ve prayed about your next step, you can fill out your commitment card online. It takes about a minute: just your name, contact info, and your two-year total commitment. Your card goes directly to our finance team and is kept confidential. Giving toward Accelerate begins in December 2026.

What is Accelerate?
Accelerate is a two-year discipleship initiative at Victory Life Durant, centered on generosity, one of the most formative practices in the way of Jesus. It’s an invitation for every one of us to become participants in what God is doing, not just observers. Together, we’re believing God for $15 million over two years: $6 million for two-years of our Durant campus ministry budget and $9 million for building upgrades across five areas (our lobby, sanctuary, entrance and patio, kids and youth spaces, and pastoral offices and prayer room).
What does "One Fund" mean?
All gifts given during Accelerate are undesignated and stewarded by our church leadership to fund both ministry and expansion. Because the $15 million in two years goal includes our annual ministry budget, you don’t have to choose between your regular giving and Accelerate. Every gift counts toward the vision.
How long is the commitment?
Accelerate launches this fall and concludes in December 2028. Giving toward the vision begins in December 2026, so commitments cover roughly two years. The goal isn’t to put generosity on a timeline. It’s to mark an intentional season of prayer and response that leads to a lifestyle that looks more and more like Jesus.
How do I make a commitment?
Start by praying and asking God how He’s inviting you to partner in this vision. Commitments will be received at Advance Commitment Night on Sunday, November 1st and on Commitment Sunday, November 15th.
Can I give online?
Yes. Starting in December 2026, you can give toward Accelerate online by clicking the button below, through the VL Church app, or in person on Sundays. Because Accelerate is one fund, every gift counts toward the vision.
